SSL Certificate

Secure ordering assures customer confidence through Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encryption sensitive customer and credit card information. SSL protection encrypts information and transmits it safely.

The benefits of a dedicated SSL certificate are that:

  • Customers are able to instantly verify your identity, i.e., that you are who you claim to be and thus the risks of doing business online are minimized (because you have come through the trusted and comprehensive authentication process).
  • Information exchanged with you is private and entirely protected from being viewed or tampered with.

Secure Payment Gateway

Authorize.Net® provides a secure online payment-processing connection method that allows Internet-based businesses to authorize, process, and manage credit card transactions directly and automatically from a website.

Encryption: Using the latest Secure Socket Layer - SSL API, all orders and payment information sent from the merchant's Web server will be encrypted using industry standard RC4 1024-bit encryption with 40/128 bit SSL version 3.0. The encrypted and secure data is routed, decrypted and processed. All processed information (approved/declined transaction) is then re-encrypted and sent securely back to the Web site. Once at the Web server, it is decrypted and displayed to the consumer. On ALL credit card transactions we use Address Verification System (AVS) matching street addresses + zip codes + Card Codes to names and credit card numbers with expiration dates.

In compliance with Visa's Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) required by VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover masking ALL sensitive Credit Card Information, only the Customer at time of input can see the credit card information input. We do not store your credit card information anywhere in our system. Order confirmation e-mails are sent to the consumer and to the merchant for processing, shipping.

Authorize.Net manages the submission of payment transactions to the processing networks on behalf of its 230,000 merchant customers. Since 1996, Authorize.Net has been a leading provider of Internet Protocol (IP) based payment gateway services, enabling merchants to accept credit card and electronic check payments from Web sites, retail stores, mail order/telephone order (MOTO) centers or mobile devices.

  • The merchant submits a credit card transaction to the Authorize.Net Payment Gateway on behalf of a customer via secure Web site connection, retail store, MOTO center or wireless device.
  • Authorize.Net receives the secure transaction information and passes it via a secure connection to the Merchant Bank's Processor.
  • The Merchant Bank's Processor submits the transaction to the Credit Card Network (a system of financial entities that communicate to manage the processing, clearing, and settlement of credit card transactions).
  • The Credit Card Network routes the transaction to the Customer's Credit Card Issuing Bank.
  • The Customer's Credit Card Issuing Bank approves or declines the transaction based on the customer's available funds and passes the transaction results back to the Credit Card Network.
  • The Credit Card Network relays the transaction results to the Merchant Bank's Processor.
  • The Merchant Bank's Processor relays the transaction results to Authorize.Net.
  • Authorize.Net stores the transaction results and sends them to the customer and/or the merchant. This step completes the authorization process - all in about three seconds or less!
  • The Customer's Credit Card Issuing Bank sends the appropriate funds for the transaction to the Credit Card Network, which passes the funds to the Merchant's Bank. The bank then deposits the funds into the merchant's bank account. This step is known as the settlement process and typically the transaction funds are deposited into your primary bank account within two to four business days.
